I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
